Deborah “Debbie” Thomas, W’86

Debbie Thomas, W’86, also studied Mandarin Chinese at Penn throughout her undergraduate years. After working for three years at a large Japanese bank in Tokyo, Debbie joined General Electric and spent more than 26 years with GE. She worked in finance, risk, and information and data management roles in GE’s manufacturing and financial services operations in Japan, the United States, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, and Australia. At GE, Debbie became a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt and taught the financial management program for many years. Currently, she is the logistics and channel project leader for Endeavour Tools Pty, a privately owned company that imports and distributes premium quality specialty automotive and industrial tools in Australia.

In addition to being an engaged Wharton alumna, Debbie is an active member of the Liberal Party in Victoria, secretary of her local Neighbourhood Watch group, and enjoys tennis and travel in her spare time.
